The group develops fundamental and applied knowledge on turbomachines with the aim of advancing machine performance and developing innovative solutions for conventional and unconventional applications. The group focuses on hydraulic machines, whose performance is optimized by means of innovative design, management and control strategies. Hydraulic test rigs in open and closed circuits and advanced numerical CFD approaches allow combining experimental results with numerical insights to maximize the knowledge advancements.
