Transient Experimental Tests

reaction cycles in transient experiments

Transient experiments provide mechanistic and kinetic information on a reaction under unsteady-state conditions, obtained by forced perturbations of the operational parameters such as reagents concentration, temperature and flowrates. The transient experimental data allow the determination of the elementary steps sequence that underlie the observed global reaction; they can provide insights on the dynamic interaction between catalyst surface/bulk and chemical species involved in the reaction.

K-INN Lab developed a dedicated and optimized experimental rig to carry out transient experiments by applying linear, step or pulse variation functions while guaranteeing reproducibility, and accurate and fast product analysis with GC, MS, FTIR and precision microbalance.
