Research

Our main research areas

E-MOBILITY

Optimized design of electric motors for more electric vehicles. Multi-physics finite-element analysis of the machines using commercial softwares (Ansys, Altair Flux) or opens-source softwares (femm, GetDP). Applications include traction motors, e-bikes and agriculture tractors.

SMART E-DRIVES

Sensorless control of synchronous motor for low and high speed applications. Identification procedure for the commissioning of the drive for high performance applications. Model predictive control of electric motor drives and grid-connected converters.
