Technology transfer

Innovating for Sustainable Comfort and Resource Efficiency

Our mission towards society and enterprises

The technology transfer activities of the BETALAB research group mainly concern activities for third parties, public engagement and continuous training. These activities aim to develop, apply and disseminate the knowledge, theories and intervention techniques of the four research areas in which the group is divided: indoor environmental quality, applied acoustics, energy efficiency in buildings and urban energy systems.

Technical standardization activities

Technical standardization is concerned with developing reference documents that define procedures, guidelines or shared concepts. These standards represent agreed and replicable approaches to perform specific operations. The process of creating standards involves different stakeholders, including researchers, manufacturing companies, end users and regulatory bodies, all related to a given field, be it a material, a product, a process or a service. Through the collaboration and consensus of these key players, uniform methodologies are established that can be implemented in a uniform and reliable manner.
In this context, researchers from the BETALAB group are actively involved in different technical committees of standardization organizations at the national and international levels, contributing significantly to the development and updating of technical standards in their fields of expertise.
