Our research tools and labs

The BETALAB research group has an integrated system of laboratories, develops its own simulation software and carries out on site measurements.

LABORATORIES

In the BETALAB laboratories, research is carried out on various aspects of the built environment, both indoors and outdoors.
The main activities concern thermal and acoustic comfort, efficient energy management in buildings and their design optimization.

SIMULATION MODELS

The simulation models developed by BETALAB offer the possibility of analyzing energy management at different scales: from the optimization and control of Ground Source Heat Pumps to the urban management of the energy needs for heating and air conditioning.

ON SITE MEASUREMENTS

The BETALAB research group has numerous instruments for the on-site measurement of different thermophysical and environmental parameters.
The main applications concern: Blower Door test, IR Thermography, Environmental Noise Monitoring, Room & Building Acoustics.
