Veneto Space Meeting 2025
For three days, from May 20th to 22nd, Venice became the beating heart of the space industry, hosting Space Meetings Veneto 2025. The event was a great success, bringing together over 360 exhibitors from 25 countries and more than 3000 participants, creating a vibrant ecosystem that united the world’s leading players in the sector.
Our research group, the Space Debris Group (SDG), was proud to be there with a delegation at the stand of the Centre of Studies and Activities for Space CISAS “G. Colombo” from the University of Padova. We had the opportunity to showcase the results of our latest researches. The event was a fantastic occasion to strengthen our ties with the local industrial network and to connect with new potential national and international partners.
Moreover, highlighting the growing importance of research in developing awareness regarding the creation of a sustainable space environment, Dr. Lorenzo Olivieri presented during an engaging panel discussion titled “Sustainability for Space Applications”, where he shared the group’s vision for the future of space.
Events like Space Meetings Veneto remind us how essential is to keep building bridges between research and industry, especially as the space sector continues to grow. We came back from Venice inspired, with new ideas and more motivated to continue our work toward a sustainable space environment.
