SDG airs on PresaDiretta on Rai 3
What is the current state, and what are the prospects, of the renewed space race, in a scenario where private companies are playing an increasingly central role? And what risks arise from the growing number of objects crowding Earth’s orbit?
These crucial questions were addressed by Professor Alessandro Francesconi and Lorenzo Olivieri during their intervention on the TV program PresaDiretta, aired on Rai 3 on September 14. In the interview, they discussed the challenges posed by the proliferation of satellites and debris in orbit and presented the research activities of the Space Debris Group, which is dedicated to developing solutions that can ensure the long-term safety of space operations.
