1st advancement meeting ASI-INAF Space Debris project 2025

On June 10th and 11th, a delegation from the Space Debris Group (SDG), represented by Prof. Alessandro Francesconi, Dr. Lorenzo Olivieri and Nicolò Trabacchin, took part in the advancement meeting of the ASI-INAF Space Debris project, held at the Asiago Observatory. This meeting followed the previous one, which took place in Rome in November 2024.

The group presented the recent developments in the simulation of orbital breakups and shared the updates from the last Inter-Agency Space Debris Coordination Committee (IADC) meeting held at ESOC in March. The event was an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas and coordinate efforts with other Italian research teams involved in the project, strengthening the national collaboration on the critical issue of space debris.
