2nd technical meeting ISTAR-ASI project

The latest ISTAR technical meeting brought together key players from academia and space institution, offering a great opportunity to discuss the future of Italian research on space debris.
ISTAR is a project promoted by the Italian Space Agency (ASI) to strengthen national capacities in monitoring and managing space debris – representing a growing challenge for the sustainability of space operations.
This second technical meeting since the start of the project, took place in Naples from July 8th to 9th. The University of Padova’s Space Debris Group (SDG) had the chance to join the discussion and share our latest developments on space traffic management and spacecraft fragmentation with other experts and colleagues from ASI, Politecnico di Milano and the University of Naples Federico II.
We would like to thank all participants for their valuable contributions and insights, and in particular Federico II research group for their warm hospitality. We look forward to sharing our further developments at the next progress meeting in January!
