In addition to conventional systems based on batteries, alternative storage or generation systems are considered which can replace or support the batteries in supplying the vehicle.<\/p><\/div> <\/div> <div class=\"row middle-sm\"> <div class=\"col-sm-6 space-bottom-xs\"> <div class=\"row space-bottom content-holder\" data-type=\"column\">  <\/div> <div class=\"row space-bottom\" data-type=\"row\"><div class=\"col-sm-6 space-bottom\"> <i class=\"fa icon fa-codepen medium color1\"><\/i> <h5 class=\"\">SUPERCAPACITORS<\/h5> <p class=\"\">The supercapacitors operate in parallel with the battery to provide power peaks during acceleration and to absorb the power recovered during braking. They are essential when the vehicle is powered by fuel cells.<\/p><\/div> <div class=\"col-sm-6\"><i class=\"fa icon fa-codepen medium color1\"><\/i> <h5 class=\"\">FUEL CELLS<\/h5> <p class=\"\">Fuel cells are an alternative to batteries.
