Catalysts include precious metals and oxides, such as perovskites, in form of powders, pellets, monoliths.<\/p>\n<p>The experimental campaigns we carry out include both application-oriented and model reactions on solid catalysts. Key applications are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chemical processes: H<sub>2<\/sub> production (steam and dry reforming of methane\/ethanol, water-gas shift, partial oxidation), carbon production\/prevention\/oxidation, biogas upgrading via CO<sub>2<\/sub> methanation\/reduction, aromatics cracking;<\/li>\n<li>Environmental: automotive emissions reduction (3-way catalysts), hydrocarbon oxidation (CH<sub>4<\/sub>, soot precursors), NOx reduction;<\/li>\n<li>Green chemistry: H<sub>2<\/sub>O<sub>2<\/sub> direct synthesis, preferential CO oxidation (for fuel cells).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Model reactions (H<sub>2<\/sub> or CO oxidation) are used for fundamental studies bridging surface chemistry and fluid mechanics, on model surfaces (single crystals).<\/p>\n<p>Typically, we carry out the experimental campaigns in a fixed bed reactor.
