Hardware

Facilities – Hardware

Our research is supported by a wide range of state-of-the-art facilities that enable both experimental and modeling activities in the fields of electromagnetic compatibility and electrothermal processes. These include:
– Anechoic chamber fully equipped for EMC testing, with complete instrumentation for both conducted and radiated emission and immunity measurements.
– High-precision electrical characterization tools, such as impedance analyzers and network/vector analyzers (NVAs).
– Electrothermal equipment for material processing, including power generators covering the frequency range from 3 kHz to 300 kHz with power levels up to 30 kW.
– Vacuum chamber for controlled-environment experiments.
– Additional measurement and monitoring systems to support both fundamental research and industrial-scale applications.

We are also equipped with modern workstations and have access to the HPC resources listed below:
– Several Windows machines equipped with dual 6-core/12-thread processors (Xeon E5645 at 2.40 GHz) and about 100 GB of RAM
– One Linux machine equipped with dual 6-core/12-thread (Xeon E5-2643 v4 processor at 3.40 GHz) and 512 GB of RAM
– Access to CAPRI HPE Superdome Flex (specs at https://capri.dei.unipd.it/)
