From Roman antiquity to space probes&#8221; exhibition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">The Department of Physics, at the University of Padova, have recently organized the exhibition <a style=\"color: #000000\" href=\"https:\/\/lnkd.in\/djdvwHEK\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;VETRO. Dall\u2019antichit\u00e0 romana alle sonde spaziali\u201d<\/a> (&#8220;GLASS. From Roman antiquity to space probes&#8221;). This is a tribute to the <strong>International Year of Glass 2022<\/strong> and it will last until <strong>April 30, 2023<\/strong>. The exhibition is hosted in the <a style=\"color: #000000\" href=\"https:\/\/lnkd.in\/daEYeX8U\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Giovanni Poleni Museum<\/a> and with <a style=\"color: #000000\" href=\"https:\/\/lnkd.in\/dZxE46sx\">free access<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">The Museum displays equipments from the <em>Cabinet of Physics<\/em> started in Padova by Giovanni Poleni in 1739 (famous in Europe at the time) and later enriched not only with cutting-edge devices, but also with 16th and 17th century instruments used for teaching.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\"><a style=\"color: #000000\" href=\"https:\/\/research.dii.unipd.it\/ceramglass\/people\/\"><strong>Prof. Enrico Bernardo<\/strong><\/a> and his collaborators are happy to contribute to such exhibition with a couple of small samples, evidencing our long-term cooperation in the framework of <a style=\"color: #000000\" href=\"https:\/\/www.funglass.eu\/\">FunGlass project<\/a>. More precisely,<em> &#8216;gyroid&#8217; scaffolds<\/em> from masked stereolithography 3D printing, starting from <em>LCD glass powders<\/em> (leading to the translucent scaffold, after sintering in air) [see <a style=\"color: #000000\" href=\"https:\/\/lnkd.in\/dP93Yk6Z\">https:\/\/lnkd.in\/dP93Yk6Z<\/a>] or from a <em>silicone-based polymer blend<\/em> (leading to the opaque scaffold, consisting of a glass-ceramic matrix biocomposite) [see <a style=\"color: #000000\" href=\"https:\/\/lnkd.in\/dfy_wWZc\">https:\/\/lnkd.in\/dfy_wWZc<\/a>].<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of Physics, at the University of Padova, have recently organized the exhibition &#8220;VETRO.
