{"id":1695,"date":"2024-10-01T10:36:45","date_gmt":"2024-10-01T08:36:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/research.dii.unipd.it\/betalab\/?p=1695"},"modified":"2025-05-31T09:13:54","modified_gmt":"2025-05-31T07:13:54","slug":"core-wood-research-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/research.dii.unipd.it\/betalab\/core-wood-research-project\/","title":{"rendered":"CORE-WOOD Research Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The CORE-WOOD research project aims to address a crucial strategic issue for the wood supply chain in the construction industry: its competitive repositioning in a changed international context.<br \/>\nThe current competitive environment is characterized by high pressure from transalpine competitors, making it urgent to fill significant competitive gaps.<\/p>\n<p>To achieve this goal, the project jointly addresses several research topics, mainly focusing on some key factors.<\/p>\n<p>In-depth analyses of the supply chain reveal a strong interconnection between strategic, organizational and distribution issues on the one hand, and technological and production aspects on the other. This complexity requires a systemic approach to identify genuinely effective and impactful integrated solutions.<\/p>\n<p>The proposed interventions have been designed to ensure secure replicability and are highly likely to trigger a positive domino effect in the sector.<\/p>\n<p>This approach aims to provide holistic and sustainable solutions to improve the competitiveness of the supply chain as a whole.<\/p>\n<p>The Veneto Region funded the project through the call for proposals that contribute to implementing the POR-FESR 2014-2020 \u2013 RIR \u2013 Dgr 1139\/2017 AXIS 1 \u201cRESEARCH, TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT AND INNOVATION\u201d ACTION 1.1.4 \u201cSupport for collaborative R&amp;D activities for the development of new sustainable technologies, new products and services\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The project was coordinated by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.legnoveneto.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FORESTA ORO VENETO \u2013 Consorzio Progetto Legno Veneto<\/a><\/strong>, in cooperation with <a href=\"https:\/\/venetogreencluster.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>VENETO GREEN CLUSTER<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.venetoclimaenergia.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Veneto Clima Energia<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.euteknos.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>EUTEKNOS<\/strong><\/a>, and University of Padua with the Departments <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beniculturali.unipd.it\/www\/homepage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>DBC<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dicea.unipd.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>DICEA<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dii.unipd.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>DII<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The complete data sheet of the CORE-WOOD research project is available <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dii.unipd.it\/progetti_nazionali_conclusi\/por-fesr-core-wood\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>HERE<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The CORE-WOOD research project aims to address a crucial strategic issue for the wood supply chain in the construction industry: its competitive repositioning in a changed international context.
