{"id":1663,"date":"2025-02-27T10:14:35","date_gmt":"2025-02-27T09:14:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/research.dii.unipd.it\/betalab\/?p=1663"},"modified":"2025-05-31T09:25:42","modified_gmt":"2025-05-31T07:25:42","slug":"cen-tc126-plenary-meeting-at-the-dii-8-11-april-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/research.dii.unipd.it\/betalab\/cen-tc126-plenary-meeting-at-the-dii-8-11-april-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"The Department of Industrial Engineering hosted the CEN\/TC126 meeting on building acoustics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left\">From 8 to 11 April 2025, the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Padova hosted the CEN\/TC126 Plenary Meeting, as well as the working sessions of WG2, WG5, and WG7.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/standards.cencenelec.eu\/dyn\/www\/f?p=205:7:0::::FSP_ORG_ID:6108&amp;cs=1B7544D491D93C3697D803000FBC8C8A1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CEN\/TC126<\/a><\/strong> is the European Technical Committee responsible for developing technical standards related to the acoustic properties of buildings and their components.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">The standardisation activities in this field included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">laboratory test methods for the acoustic properties of building components,<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">rating of acoustic performance of individual elements,<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">field measurement methods for the acoustic performance of buildings,<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">procedures for determining overall building acoustic performance from component data.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">The working groups addressed key topics for the building acoustics sector:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">WG2 focused on the prediction of building acoustic performance based on the properties of construction elements;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">WG7 worked on defining laboratory measurement methods for airborne and structure-borne noise produced by building services equipment;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">WG5 handled coordination between the various working groups.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">The participation of international experts and representatives from leading industrial and academic organisations made this meeting an essential event for advancing European standards in building acoustics.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From 8 to 11 April 2025, the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Padova hosted the CEN\/TC126 Plenary Meeting, as well as the working sessions of WG2, WG5, and WG7.
